In this week’s property news, Arc Inspirations, Inn Collection Group and Cosy Club have announcements about openings.

Arc Inspirations to open largest development to date

Premium bar operator Arc Inspirations is set to launch the biggest development in the group’s history with the opening of its New York-themed bar, Manahatta, in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, in November.

The venue will be set in the former Allied Irish Bank on Collingwood Street and will feature high ceilings and two bars.

The Grade II-listed building will hold capacity for 450 guests, and décor will include neon signs, disco balls and swing chairs.

Furthermore, the site also includes a mezzanine floor overlooking the main bar area.

Food on offer will include gyoza, tacos and bao buns, as well as burgers and steak fries. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options will be available.

The drinks selection will include cocktails, including a bottomless experience for guests.

Arc Inspirations chief executive Martin Wolstencroft said: “We’re particularly proud of this specific location, following an extremely rigorous process to win the necessary approvals needed to open a brand-new venue in the heart of Newcastle’s established nightlife scene.

“The Manahatta brand is well established in other city centres across the Midlands and North, so we are confident that a premium bar like Manahatta will fit right in and quickly become a popular addition to the incredible nightlife and bar scene here.”

The bar will also create 75 jobs in the local area.

Inn Collection Group reopens Yorkshire site

Inn Collection Group site the Ripon Inn, North Yorkshire, opened to the public on Monday (16 October) after a multi-million-pound refurbishment.

The venue had undergone a complete internal and external overall, which was undertaken in partnership with Silverstone Building Consultancy and STP Construction.

The interiors have been created with Newcastle-based studio Design North, who have used opulent furnishings throughout alongside fires and bars.

The pub has six pump which will showcase real ales including Black Sheep, Rooster’s Brewing Company and Theakston’s.

What’s more, 18 single, twin and double bedrooms have also been created, and a new kitchen has been installed.

Commenting on the re-opening, group chief executive of The Inn Collection Group Sean Donkin said: “The Ripon Inn is a fantastic addition to our estate. It has huge potential and I think our teams and our partners have realised the exciting vision that we had for the property when we bought it back in 2021.

“Following on from the well-received re-openings of the Harrogate Inn and the Knaresborough Inn, I am excited for Ripon to open and for the revitalisation of this classic, landmark site to start in earnest.

“We’ve created what we hope is a welcoming place to enjoy food, drinks and company whilst at the same time, taking care to retain the unique, historic character of the building.”

Cosy Club Oxford opens doors

Oxford welcomed a new Cosy Club to the city on Monday (16 October).

The business’ design and build teams have revamped the site at Northgate House, Cornmarket, Oxfordshire, to be ready for opening.

The décor is inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and Victoriana, with nods to Biba-esq styling from the sixties.

Some 100 statement light fittings, reams of fabrics, 206 rolls of wallpaper and plumes of ostrich feathers will create a luxurious vibe.

Cosy Club managing director Lucy Knowles said: “We’re delighted to finally be open and to welcome guests through the door of this wonderful Cosy Club. The team has worked incredibly hard to create something very special.

“The transformation of this building is a feast for the eyes - an eccentric sense of Britishness with a big splash of glamour.

“The party season is just around the corner so we look forward to celebrating the festive season with everyone in style.”

An all-day menu features modern classics, with gluten free and vegan options available.
