Troubleshoot JRF Files
Troubles Opening JRF Files
Half-Life Not Present
You attempt to load your JRF file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The JRF File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Half-Life isn't installed on your PC. You won't be able to double-click to open your JRF because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: If you don't have Half-Life installed, and you know of another program to open your JRF file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Incorrect Half-Life Version
Your The Jumbot Bot Level Navigation Data file is incompatible with Half-Life because you might have the wrong version installed. Visit the Valve website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Half-Life. Your The Jumbot Bot Level Navigation Data file was probably created by a newer release of Half-Life than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Investigate your JRF file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Conclusion: The majority of JRF file opening issues are due to not having the correct Half-Life version installed.
Additional JRF Opening Issues
You can still experience errors opening JRF files even with the latest version of Half-Life installed on your PC. If you are still having problems opening JRF files, there may be other issues that are preventing you from opening these files. Issues that aren't software-related:
