Often listed buildings, Cheshire Cat’s pubs are what one would imagine if trying to describe what an idyllic inn would look like – some also offer accommodation too.

Each one of its pubs in the north-west of England offers something different when it comes to its drinks offer and it is working hard on ensuring there is a ‘bible’ to show the drinks that are available.

Local cask suppliers​

The Bulls Head leads on whisky while the Cholmondeley Arms stocks 366 gins; the Three Greyhounds has brandy/Cognac leading the line while the Church Inn has wine as its first temptation; and Old World wines can be found at the Roebuck Inn, the Fitzherbert Arms serves port and the Mainwaring Arms offers a world of rums.

Other drinks are not left out with great use made of local microbrewers for a cask offer at all sites and there are keg beers and ciders too while soft drinks are more likely to be a fresher option rather than sugar-stacked serves and lower alcohol serves in the form of beers and wines are available.

Out of the comfort zone​

There is no ‘house’ wine and guests are encouraged to go out of their comfort zone and find something new that could soon become their new go-to tipple.

Many of the pubco’s staff are ‘champions’ who can offer advice to customers on subjects including beer, wine, spirits and food.

And its drinks suppliers not only give Cheshire Cat excellent options, they are also likely to found teaching staff members about their products so this knowledge can be passed on to customers so they can make more informed decisions.
