Record December caps strong year for Incipio
The group, which runs venues including Pergola on the Wharf, The Libertine and The Prince in London, saw its strongest-ever month of trading this December, with like-for-like sales up 66% compared with last year, all contributing to a record year of sales at £26.4m, the company reported.
The growth was driven by a combination of an increase in Christmas party bookings, private events and festive activations, the company said, reporting an increase of 38% in guest visits vs last year.
Corporate and private hire broke previous records in December, with that alone delivering £1.2m in sales during the month.
Clever staging of festive events, booked into dates in less demand for corporate bookings increased reasons to visits the company’s sites, and Incipio said it had seen success through its innovative approach to curating seasonal activations, hosting high energy brunch and late-night concepts and their use of TikTok to reach new audiences.
The icing on the cake was as a sell-out New Year’s Eve across the entire group, delivering over £160,000 in ticket sales alone. That helped to ensure NYE 2023 was the best day of sales in the group’s history the company added.
