Stonegate announces operational shake up
The changes have been made as the business structure is aligned in a bid to support the company’s formats and future growth strategy.
Nick Light, who was previously managing director for Publican Partners is moving into the new role of director of business transformation (Publican Partners).
In addition, Nick Andrews has been appointed managing director for Stonegate Pub Partners, Craft Union and Vixen. Both this and Light’s role will report into Stonegate CEO Simon Longbottom.
New positions
Furthermore, there have also been a number of other new positions. This included business unit director across the company’s managed pubs, Publican Partners and Craft Union.
For the managed arm, former operations directors Julie Lodge – who will be responsible for Proper Pubs and Classics – and Sarah Miller will be responsible for Be At One, Slug & Lettuce and Venues. These will both report into managing director Helen Charlesworth.
The duo will be supported by newly appointed operations directors. These include Matt Nowell, JP McKeown and James Beaumont.
In addition, Neil McKie is taking on the role of operations director for the newly integrated Social Pub and Kitchen format while Andrew Younger has moved from Publican Partners to be operations director of its new premium division – Chapter Collection.
Significant career steps
Within the company’s Publican Partners arm, Mike Mannion and Darren King have been promoted to business unit directors and this is also the case for Frazer Grimbleby for Craft Union. All three will report into managing director for this division, Nick Andrews.
To help this structure, there have also been a few internally promoted operational directors such as Martin McTigue and Salle Wroblewski-Brazel alongside Yvonne Fraser, who has joined from Greene King.
Longbottom said: “This realignment ensures the programme of investing in our people and pubs remains at the forefront of the business strategy and highlights the success of the Stonegate bar to boardroom training platform.
“These are significant career steps for all those that have been promoted. Each of our operating businesses now have the structure and leadership required to accelerate our performance as we continue to raise the bar on the great British pub.”
