Sources of CONFIGURE Problems
Issues Opening CONFIGURE Files
Linux Isn't There
You attempt to load your CONFIGURE file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The CONFIGURE File Extension". If so, it typically means that you don't have Linux installed for %%os%%. The OS won't know what to do with your CONFIGURE file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: When another CONFIGURE application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Incorrect Linux Version
Your Bash Data file is incompatible with Linux because you might have the wrong version installed. Download the latest Linux version from the Open Source website to ensure you have the correct one installed. Most of the time your Bash Data file was created by a newer Linux than what you have installed.
Tip: Investigate your CONFIGURE file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Regardless, most of the CONFIGURE file opening problems relate to not having the right version of Linux installed.
Other CONFIGURE File Opening Causes
Although you might already have Linux or another CONFIGURE-associated software installed on your computer, you can still encounter problems opening Bash Data files. Other CONFIGURE opening errors can be created by other system problems inside of %%os%%. These issues include:
- Invalid CONFIGURE file references in the Windows Registry (the "phonebook" of the Windows Operating System)
- Corruption of the CONFIGURE file description inside the Registry
- Incomplete or bad installation of a software application associated with the CONFIGURE format
- The CONFIGURE itself is corrupted
- Your CONFIGURE has adversely impacted by malware
- Drivers associated with CONFIGURE software need to be updated
- Windows cannot load your Bash Data file due to insufficient resources (eg. RAM)
Quiz: Which of these is considered a vector image file?
That's Correct!
The unique thing about vector files such as AI and EPS is that graphic details (eg. sizes and shapes of objects) and text remains editable. This allows you can save and re-open them in Illustrator and edit text or other elements within the graphic.
